Another wonderful turnout again this past weekend for the contest. We also couldn't have asked for better weather if we were ducks. Alot of fish and I think record poundage of fish were caught and released during this contest. Below are the winners, and a few honorable mentions.....
Flatheads-
1st Place- Larry Haugh 44 x 29
2nd Place- Tom (catnip) 38 x 25
Honorable mention- dtro (Darren) had what might have been a tie, but it fell only one inch off.
Channel Cats-
1st Place- dtro (Darren) 30 x 18
2nd place- X-man (kou) 28.5 x 17
Honorable mention- Mpls Pug (Mike) the underdog, a last minute entry (had to find a seat) comes thru with his first real entry.
This young man may soon be the up and coming, so keep an eye out for this guy.
June 10, 2008 Pool 2 Walleye Contest Results
I first want to thank all that particapated in our first walleye contest. A special note to the winner with the only fish submitted Jon Jordan. Since he has expressed that his winnings go to ARM, and with no 2nd place fish entered. All winnings from this contested will be submitted to ARM.
It was a tough night out there to say the least. From Mondays pre-fishing to contest the water had come up almost two feet. My boat partner and I (mainly my boat partner) were only able to land a sheephead, Sauger, and a Nice little Flathead. I think we also gave away thirty dollars in plastics and hair jigs to the wing damns.......
We had a great time, and we look forward to doing this again next month. Hope more can come out and join us next time for a nice night on the water........
